Friday night I was able to bind off the back and get started on the Left Front. I was able to finish that up Saturday and get started on the Right front of the sweater.

Sunday we drove down to San Jose and I realized that I needed to redo the ribbing for the right front as it should have started with a purl for the ribbing. I spent the drive down reknitting the ribbing section. We had a lovely time at the party and DV~ was super cool and let me drive home with the light on so I could knit on the drive home. (Had I been intelligent, I would have prepped a plain knit hat or something so I could knit in the dark, But I did not and DV~ is a cool guy.)

I am using some techniques I learned from my Lucy Neatby DVD's - (Yes owning her entire catalog is going to happen!)

I did short rows for the shoulder shaping to create a smooth line rather than that ugly stair step effect and I did the shaping by reducing the stitches every row at the beginning of the neck line for 6 rows rather than every other row 3 times. I much prefer this result.

I should have my right front finished either today or tomorrow and then I can work on the sleeves, I will likely knit those at the same time to make sure they are the same length - knitting to a measurement is not difficult, but I want to do it this way.

Then I will block (Elsa - Blocking is like ironing the seams as you sew, it give a more polished finish on the clothes being built! *g*), stitch together (Looking up mattress stitches this week on youtube) and then work the finishing band. I am most likely going to use a zipper with this sweater over buttons. I prefer the clean finish from all those wonderful sweaters I found on Ravelry.

I trimmed the sleeves. The sleeves have been embroidered and ready for weeks. I have stitched the edges and cut out the little armpit squares and stitched the edges on those. Done for today! I hope to join things tomorrow. Once the joins are done, I will start turning the seams. Just thinking about it is too overwhelming for tonight.

I did get some dishes done and the dog jumped on the table and ate my dinner.

That says it all. Maybe I will do laundry.

I have Fauna Gillespie here with me. She is a delicate blond Italian girl with liquid brown eyes. She is the dog-ter (say it aloud) of Jarl Geoffrey and Countess Kira. She spent the first day pouting because daddy left her, but she seems fine now. She gets on well with the cats and has found a nice spot in my bedroom to make her bed.

She is just as adept at garbage raiding as KoKo. The girls seem to think I have *no* taste as I keep putting tasty treats in the trash. I found them both digging through a knocked over kitchen can a few hours ago. KoKo knows she is being watched and is snoring in her bed, but Fauna keeps trying to sneak back in the kitchen. She is a very vocal dog who 'talks' to you or sighs loudly when not getting her way. Ha! She just sighed at me and gave me a look.

I have taken the girls for a bike ride and straightened up the kitchen most of the day. I have lentils in the crock pot for some soup later tonight. I also made a heavy whole grain bread. I am hoping this time I got the gluten to whole grain ratio right. I am developing this bread recipe. They always come out as nice breads, but I am trying to achieve a sandwich bread that is mostly whole grain and not bread with some grain in it.

The laundry is in a pile in the living room. My dishes are mostly done. I cleaned out part of the refrigerator. I may take out more garbage in an hour or so. I don't think I will go look at the property tomorrow for KHTI. I have my phone on so they can call me with the decision. I worked on KHTI stuff for the last two weekends and at work. I am going to take a break and not burn myself out. I have the bathroom mostly done too. In an hour I will take out the laundry and the trash, let the dogs play and then come in and do more housework.

Still haven't touched the dress.

I don't want to work on my 12th Night dress. It is plain anyhow. I am going through a plain phase.
